European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Brinkmann Tabakfabriken, affiliate of British American Tobacco, has announced a reduction of its staff by 80%. The firm responds to the judgment of the ECJ which eventually dismissed, in November 2005, the tax relief on fine-cut tobacco sticks intended for rolling cigarettes.
