Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Incap Corporation (head office in Kempele, Finland) designs and manufactures sub-assemblies and box-build products containing electronic and sheet metal components. Incap operates in six locations in Finland and in Estonia. Incap Electronics Estonia, provides versatile manufacturing services in electronics and box-build assembly. A subsidiary which started in 2000 is located in Kuressaare. At present it employs 100 people and a fast expansion to 140 employees is feasible. The company is building a new plant in Kuressaare and new premises of approximately 3,700 m2 will be completed by summer 2006. The production capacity will be increased through automatic surface mounting lines and testing equipment. As result of expansion, the number of employees will grow up to 250 employees by 2008.
