Description
The German wheel manufacturer Ronal, intends to invest €10 million in building a factory in Hunedoara (Vest region, Hunedoara county).
The mayor of Hunedoara declared negotiations with Ronal are in an advanced stage. Ronal plans to obtain a concession of 15 hectares of land, one kilometre away from the industrial park in Hunedoara.
‘We will be meeting again to set the land concession terms', added the mayor of Hunedoara. The concession price will be ten eurocents per square metre per year. ‘We don’t want the price to be too steep, although approximately 12 hectares of the land is the property of the city hall, as the bulk of the money will come from taxes’, the mayor argued.
The remaining 3.5 hectares will be bought from Mittal Steel Hunedoara, which has already agreed to sell the land to the German investor. The new Ronal unit will generate about 700 de jobs.
