Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Electroputere, located in Craiova (Sud-Vest region, Dolj county) will make redundant 600 of the total 3,179 employees, from January 2006. Government Decision no. 1835 of 22 December 2005, published in the Official Monitor no. 44 of 18 January 2006 stipulates that redundant employees will be granted redundancy pay according to Emergency Ordinance no. 8 of 2003.
Electroputere is a state-owned company, but the Government has announced its privatisation.
The company was founded in 1949 and manufactures electrical rotating motors, power transformers, electric apparatus, electric and diesel locomotives for freight and passengers railway transport, urban vehicles and other complex equipments.
