As car rental firm, Avis Europe Plc, announced plans to cut around 200 jobs it also unveiled plans to transfer 180 positions from Manchester to its Barcelona call centre, as well as further transfers of roles to its Budapest service centre. This has been a difficult decision, but necessary to ensure that we deliver on the goals set out in our recovery strategy and put Avis on the right track for the future,' Chief Executive Murray Hennessy said in a statement.
