The company Nissan is a multimational specialised in the manufacture of motor vehicles and trucks. The company has several production centres in Spain, specially in Catalonien and Castilla y León. The company has decided the production of a new truck model for the Volvo company in its centre in Ávila (Castilla y León). The measure will create 100 jobs on the top of the current 570 employees working in the plant. The measure will have an additional cost of 9 million added to the 140 million euros invested in the Ávila plant in 2005.
