Description
Goss Graphic Systems, in Preston, is to move production abroad because of falling orders with the likely loss of more than 230 jobs. This would leave about 120 people working in research and development at the US-owned company's site. Dave Howson, of the union Amicus, said 236 staff were likely to lose their jobs but he was hopeful the skilled workers would find new jobs. Goss has other plants similar to the Preston factory in France, the US, Japan and Shanghai.
