Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German logistics company Műller-Die Lila Logistik has been granted a permit to operate in the Katowice Special Economic Zone and the company will invest zł.35.8 million on the employment of 140 people. 'The firm will purchase an almost 10-hectare plot in Gliwice, on which it will create a distribution centre based on road and railway transport', said Justyna Romańczuk from the SEZ. The investment is being made due to the lack of proper warehouses in Silesia.
On 27 February 2006, the company announced that final number of emploees could be as high as 350.
