Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
TietoEnator Telecom Operators has started personnel negotiations to reduce a maximum of 130 jobs in Sweden. The company is part of TietoEnator's business area Telecom & Media and supplies telecom operators with software development, application management and solutions. The company employs approximately 720 people in Sweden. The adjustments will mainly affect TietoEnator's site in Stockholm but also to some extent the sites in Sundsvall, Kalmar and Malmö. The cost of the measures is currently estimated to be 5 million in the first quarter. The adjustments are expected to create savings of approximately 5 million later in 2006.The negotiations will start immediately and the goal is to finalise them before the end of March 2006.
