Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dutch entrepreneur Wim Zwijsen who is active in the region for more than ten years established Tesec Slovakia, a cable manufacturer, in 1996. Initially 35 employees worked there. In 2005 Zwijsen built a new production plant and increased the staff to 100 employees. All production of the company is successfully exported to EU and USA and further increase of production volume is expected in 2006.
According to Tesec Slovakia CEO Jaroslav Rickardt, the Dutch owner also plans to establish the company’s Central European logistic centre there. 100 new jobs will be created in the process.
