The subsidiary of a Belgian furniture company, Furni Finish, will start the production of different types of padded furniture, especially sofas in Slovakia. The production was originally due to start in January 2006. However, because of some administrative problems related to construction management, the production was to start in June-July 2006. The SKK 100 million investment included reconstruction of a former school as well as construction of a new production hall. Some 180 people were to be employed since July 2006.
According to the latest information in November 2006, the production is expected to be launched within the next month and some 100 employees are to be recruited till the end of 2006.
