Description
Inventec Scotland Servers is closing down in the west of Scotland with the loss of hundreds of jobs. Inventec, based in Hillington, near Glasgow, announced that it will cut about 370 full and part-time posts when the plant shuts later in the year. The company is transferring production to the Czech Republic. A spokesman for the company said 'It has been decided that the best course for the company in a highly competitive global marketplace is to transfer all manufacturing and service operations for server products currently manufactured at Hillington to Inventec's plant at Brno in the Czech Republic.'
