Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The American company Energizer announced on 1 December 2005 the closure of its manufacture of Caudebec-lès-Elbeuf near Rouen (Seine-Maritime). The decision concerns 132 jobs. A first restructuring programme implemented in 1998 had resulted in the loss of 334 jobs.
