Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Prista oil has opened its first auto-centre outside Bulgaria, in the Romanian town Krajova. In 2004, the firm together with other partners started a programme to build auto service stations. From the start of the programme in the mid 2004, 45 stations were built in Bulgaria, and some 400 new jobs were created. Another 45 stations are planned to be built in 2006, where another 400 new jobs will be created, told Mr.Stamen Ignatovskli, responsible for the programme implementation at Prista oil. With this €2 million investment, the aim is to build up a chain of lube change service stations, where a high quality of the services and products are guaranteed, told the company. This network of centres is also intended to be developed in Romania and Hungary. Prista oil, established in 1993, produces more than 150 motor oil products in its factories and exports in more than 15 countries.
