Description
At the Maasland Hospital (Maaslandziekenhuis) in Sittard, between 150 and 175 jobs will be cut. Some 1,275 people are currently employed at the hospital. The restructuring will affect different departments as it is mainly a reorganising and modernising operation. A new integrated facility will be built, it should be finished in 2008. There will be no direct dismissals; the jobs will be cut partly through natural attrition. For the remaining (on average 80 jobs) a new position will be looked for.
