Description
3M plans to build a new plant in Poland. It will produce optical foil for LCD screens. The company plans to buy land in Wrocław nearby the existing 3M factory. The move is also connected to the decision of Korean LG.Philips LCD to start an LCD screens production in Kobierzyce. 3M estimates, that the land in Wrocław will cost about PLN 10 million. The initial value of investment outlays amounts to several millions of dollars. After starting up the first production line the plant will employ at least 100 workers. Eventually, the factory will create 500 new jobs.
