Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The German company Lafert specialised in the manufacture of electric motors has announced the closure of its plant in Terrassa (Vallès Occidental, Barcelona, Catalonien). The measure will create 279 redundancies. The workforce will receive an indemnisation of 20 days per year worked up to a maximum of 12 months and a linear indemnisation of €6,000.
