Description
Hungarian Television (MTV) is laying off 176 people, including makeup artists, stage designers and setters. The management plants to replace them by ordering services of independent companies. They claim that this will result in cost reduction, but workers' council doubts this statement, as the management did not present any calculation, which would confirm it. Because of that, the council did not sign the dismissal plan. The television has 1,608 employees and about 600 contractors.
