Restructuring events
European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The regional newspaper Schweriner Volkszeitung will cut almost one third of its workforce. The reason for the restructuring is shrinking revenues because of lower sales and advertisement turnover. Early retirement and job-sharing are supposed to cushion the impact of the job losses.
