Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German company Koch Prezisionsdrehteile is to invest €3 million to expand its production capacity at its Szekszárd —based subsidiary Jaco Metal Factory. The current staff of 250 will be further increased by an extra 100 workers. The expansion follows a growing demand and the development and manufacturing of new products, such as electronic engines to be used in hospital beds and wheelchairs. These technologic innovations are to be carried out on the premises of the 8,000 square metres production facility in the Szekszárd Industrial Park. Koch first came to Hungary in 1998 to outsource its production. Since then, logistics have also been brought to Hungary.
