Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The multinational group Hewlett-Packard is planing to reduce its 2,300-strong workforce in Spain by 140 employees. The negotiations are taking place at the Madrid centre in Las Rozas. This measure is part of a worldwide restructuring programme affecting up to 14,500 employees of HP. This initiative will mostly affect back-office activities.
