European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
DaimlerChrysler has announced that up to 5,000 jobs will go at its Mercedes brand. The measure is meant to reduce overcapacity and raise profitability of DaimlerChrysler's most important brand. The company wants to avoid direct dismissals and compensate employees that leave the company voluntarily.
