Ethics in the digital workplace

HeidelCement, one of the leading producers of cement with 42,000 employees world-wide, will cut employment in its home market Germany by 220. The measures are part of a world-wide restructuring that will cost 1,100 jobs in Europe. Job losses will be limited to the company's administration though. The company did not want to exclude the possibility of direct dismissals. Talks with the workers' council are to begin soon.
