Description

The new Conta factory shop in Podbořany (North-west Bohemia) was put into operation. Conta s.r.o., a subsidiary of the Italian company Candy Elettrodomestici, has already invested nearly €50 million into fridge manufacture in the region. The plant now employs 600 workers and plans to increase its workforce by up to 250 people in the coming years.

Thanks to the expansion, the Conta plant is expected to attain annual production capacity of more than 800 thousand items and to become the main manufacturing centre for Candy group in Europe.
