Description
Prevent, a leading European manufacturer of car seat covers, contracting Volkswagen, Renault, Ford, PSA, BMW among others, is the core company of Skupina Prevent. 23 companies, either partly or wholly owned by Prevent, employ nearly 10,000 people across the globe. Other than its production for the automobile industry, the group also embraces firms dealing with as different areas as wood processing, masonry, finance and metallurgy. The group’s management seeks to lower production costs and thus plans to reduce its workforce by 300 people to a total of 430 employees. The company already announced further so-called ‘soft’ reductions in 2006.
