Description

Dutch wheat meal producer Meneba will cut 100 of its total workforce by the end of 2006 and a half due to the structural drop of exports outside the European Union. The announced reorganisation is aimed not only at reducing costs, but also at decreasing Meneba's capacity. According to Meneba, exports are under a heavy pressure. Countries outside Europe, which used to import flour and meal, are currently producing those products themselves.
