Description
Automotive supplier Geiger technik has announced the closure of its factory in Garmisch-Partenkirchen towards the end of 2007. Relentless pressure on margins in the sector made the concentration on one factory in Bavaria inevitable the management said. Some of Garmisch's production will be transferred to the remaining Bavarian factory in Murnau, parts to the company's other factory in Poland. Geiger technik is in negotiations about a redundancy programme.
