Description
Ibiden Co., a Japanese supplier to the automotive industry has invested in a HUF 25 billion (over €101 million) plant in Dunavarsány, Hungary. This is the largest greenfield investment in Hungary in 2005. The factory will employ 200 people in August 2005. With the new project, the company will boost its total investment in Hungary to €200 million by the end of 2006, and a total workforce of 1,200 is expected. The Dunavarsány factory will supply Ibiden's major partners in Europe, including Volkswagen, Daimler-Chrysler and BMW, with diesel particle filters.
