Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Devonport Naval Base will be cutting more than 300 jobs within the next three years. This is the base for refitting the UK's fleet of nuclear-powered submarines, says it needs to shed 114 civilian and 191 military workers. The losses, which represents about a quarter of the workforce, are part of a national cost-cutting exercise. Unions say they hope the jobs can be shed through natural wastage with voluntary redundancies a last resort.
