Description
Despite previous planning, Dámtej has managed to build a factory in Kaposvár, with investments amounting 1 billion HUF. In line with this, the company is planning to shut down its dairy plant in Tamási. Dámtej had planned to build a smaller factory, but keeping an eye on export markets, management has decided to expand its size to increase the production capacity up to 20 million litres. The plant in Kaposvár is going to start production from mid-September 2005. The new plant will operate in full capacity by the end of 2005. The former plant will be shutting down at the same time period. The employees of the old plant were offered jobs in the county seats of Somogy. The factory is going to employ approximately 130 workers.
