Description
The supervisory board of hospital company Asclepios has announced a cost cutting programme for its newly acquired Hamburg operations. In 7 privatised hospitals, 1,000 jobs will be cut in an effort to become more efficient. Trade unions have been fiercely critical of the decision, whereas Hamburg's minister for health matters has declared that there will be no direct dismissals.
