Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Cussons Polska announced the closure of its century old cosmetics’ factory (Uroda) in Warsaw. Stephen Murphy – Cussons’s CEO explained that the decision was undertaken due to growing competition and necessity of cost cutting. The old plant constantly needs new investments in order to keep production on a competitive level. The factory will be closed in autumn 2005. The lines produced in Uroda will then be manufactured by external contractors. The three unions acting in the company declared strike alarm.
