Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 25 May 2005 the Japanese company Daido Metal, producer of vehicle bearings and fluid systems, announced it would build a new plant in Černovická terasa, industrial zone of Brno, investing 400 million CZK. The production of vehicle bearings was to be launched in the beginning of 2006 and to employ up to 100 people in the first stage.
On 9 October 2006 the company announced it has launched the production and plans to employ about 100 workers within two years and to create up to 500 new jobs in the long run. The plant will serve as the business headquarters for Europe.
