Description
BMW has opened its new factory in Leipzig, where the new 3-series-model has gone into production in March 2005. BMW has invested €1.3 billion, €363 million were given as subsidies by the state of saxony. In the medium term production is to be increased from 160 to 650 cars each day, employment is to rise from 2,500 to a maximum of 5,500 in 2006.
