Kapitan Djado Nikola company, which is traditionally producing plastic pipes and fittings has started production of plastic wrapper and thin-sided matrixes. The investment in the new department for thin-sided matrixes is €2 million. According to Kemrjan Jozgour, the executive director of the company, matrix production is very difficult and many West-European firms have given up producing it. The ambition of the Gabrovo firm is to fill this niche. At the end of June 2005, the owners of the firm intend to start building a new department, where some 300 new workers will be hired.
