Description
The provider of cash handling solutions De La Rue will close down its plant in Eskilstuna and restructure its production unit in Flen, where parts of cash dispensers are produced. Some 150 workers will be affected by the decision, mostly in Eskilstuna. De La Rue, which will relocate the production in China, explained that the exchange rate of the Swedish Crown to the Dollar and the hard competition environment had been decisive factors in taking the decision. Negotiations with trade unions regarding the relocation of the production have already started.
