Description
At Rosenthal, a maker of china belonging to Irish Waterford Wedgford, 160 jobs will be cut in an effort by the mother company to cut costs. Competition from Asia is said to be responsible for Rosenthal's 2004 losses of €4 million. In Ireland and the United Kingdom, a further 1,635 jobs will be lost during Waterford Wedgford's restructuring. The job losses at Rosenthal are to be managed mainly through fluctuation.
