European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Smart, a producer of small cars belonging to DaimlerChrysler, is to be reintegrated into the mother company in order to cut administration costs. The affected staff, close to 600, are to be transferred to other vacant positions within DaimlerChrysler.
