Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 4 May 2005, the IT services company TietoEnator, announced it is to start cooperation negotiations with the whole personnel. This is due to the present centralisation activities for increased efficiency in TietoEnator's processing and network business. The planned job reductions concern at most 160 people in Finland, Sweden and Central Europe. The reductions are estimated to affect at most 110 employees in Finland, 45 in Sweden and 5 in Central Europe.
