Description

John Lewis has announced plans for a £40 million department store designed to be the centrepiece of the £500 million regeneration of part of Leeds city centre. The development will, it is claimed, generate up to 900 jobs. Alongside the store shops, bars, and apartments will also be created by the scheme. Councillors say the work, which is due to start in 2007, will create the largest expansion of the city to date.
