Description

The Research and development centre of Motorola is to extend its laboratory in Kraków (Małopolskie). It will employ about new 300 programmers in 2005. The centre deals with infrastructure of cellular network software and standard systems of digital broadcasting links (TETRA). The American company invested in Poland, as it claims that Polish engineers have a good reputation and that furthermore, Poland is situated in a time zone between the two important regions — Asia and America.

In May 2005, the company revealed that it hired 200 people in 2004 and it wants to recruit 200 more people in 2005. By the end of 2005, there will be 700 people working in the Kraków centre.
