Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Dutch meat processing company Dumeco will cut up to 300 jobs through the closure of the production sites of Weert and Emmen. This measure is presented as a consequence of the acquisition of Hendrix Meat Group in the second half of 2004. This is part of a larger restructuring plan that should cost 530 jobs in total. Part of the employees will be proposed a new position in the group but there will be 3OO direct dismissals. A social plan will be negotiated with the unions.
