Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Danish company LM Glasfiber, which manufactures wings for windmills in several countries, announced in March 2005 that around 170 employees in Lunderskov, Denmark, would be made redundant. The exact number of redundancies will first be decided after local negotiations with the employees. LM Glasfiber has a total workforce of 2,600.
