Description
The leading Czech car manufacturer Škoda Auto has obtained a state investment incentive amounting to 427 million CZK in order to boost production of a new model Roomster. The company is willing to build a new logistic centre nearby the present manufacturing area situated in Kvasiny with a total investment of 3 billion CZK. The business expansion is expected to generate about 2,000 new jobs. On 7 June 2005, the company announced a further business expansion with investment reaching 1.2 billion CZK. The planned development centre expansion in Mladá Boleslav (headquarters of the company) will offer work opportunities for up to 370 advance designers and high-qualified engineers by 2009. On 14 November 2005 the company announced that it would invest 6 billion CZK in order to build new assembly shops in Kvasiny region and create about 3,000 new jobs.
