Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Two hundred jobs are being created in Cardiff and Swansea by a mobile telecommunications company. Communications Direct Ltd, which was only created in June 2003, already employs more than 120 staff at its Cardiff headquarters.
The direct sales operation sells third generation (3G), broadband and other services across five mobile networks. Half the sales staff will be recruited for its Cardiff headquarters and the rest for new offices in Swansea.
