Kensey Foods in Launceston, part of the Samworth Brothers group, makes hot and cold desserts for the retail market. The Cornwall food firm is undertaking a £10 million new investment programme at its Pennygillam site in the town, which includes money from the Objective One program.
The development is expected to take about a year to complete. 200 new jobs are to be created.
Company managing director Lis Mannes said it would also enable further expansion.
She said of the jobs announcement: ‘We expect to add the 200 new jobs, which are primarily production posts, over the next few years as we grow into the new space.'
