Description

A £30 million Ministry of Defence contract for a new patrol vessel will lead to the creation of 100 jobs and secure 400 more at shipbuilder VT Group. The new vessel will be the first warship to be launched at Portsmouth since 1967. It is scheduled to enter service in 2007 and will be used to patrol waters round the Falklands.
