Description
According to statements of the management of the Tyrolean glass manufacturer Riedel Glas, the concern will dismiss some 100 employees at the headquarters in Kufstein in Austria and about 400 at its German subsidiary, the Nachtmann Crystal group which was acquired in 2004. The job reductions are planned to be terminated by early 2006. Without going into details, the management indicated that this measure would be inevitable in order to carry on the corporation's business. Despite the magnitude of the planned job reductions, all current production plants shall be maintained.
