Henkel announced on 19 January 2005 the closure of its Reims manufacture in Champagne-Ardennes, specialized in dust detergents. As the activities suffered from a new detergent competition, 167 jobs will be suppressed in July 2005 and Henkel will transfer the other activities of the manufacture to the 8 other sites of the group in France. By the end of 2006, the company is to suppress 3,000 jobs worldwide (6% of the whole personnel).
