European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Gumotex Automotive, a subsidiary of Gumotex a.s. Břeclav — the largest Czech manufacturer and provider of polyurethane-based foams, intends to open a new plant in Most in May 2005. The company, producing a wide range of automotive interior parts (filler for car seats, head rests, sun visors), will create 155 jobs by the end of 2005. The number of applicants for new jobs has been increasing at a rate of 20 to 30 per day and has recently reached a total of 320 applicants. The region of Most has the highest unemployment rate in the Czech Republic (23,3%).
